5-Step Landscape
We can simplify your landscape project to just 5 steps. If you’re in the Diablo or Tri-Valley areas of SF East Bay, we’re right around the corner — local! Local means knowledge of your microclimate, great relationships with tradespeople & vendors, and experience with the best materials, plants & products for your landscape.
Step 1. Ten-Minute Phone Chat
Questions HOMEOWNERS ask about landscaping
- What is the best way to organize my project?
- Can you design a landscape to complement my home’s architectural style -- Mediterranean? Provencal? Mid-Century Modern? Ranch?
- We have many buildings: home, office, ADU, and sheds. Can you make it cohesive?
- Our pool is dated. What are our options?
- We need so much more shade in our backyard. Help!
- Can we convert our back lawn into an outdoor kitchen + lounge?
- We need help with phasing / budget / timelines / HOA. Can you guide us?
Step 2. Complimentary Site Visit
Questions we ask homeowners about your outdoor lifestyle
- What do you want to spend time doing outdoors?
- Who will use the space -- kids, adults, pets? How many and when?
- Will you be cooking and entertaining?
- Where are we bringing in life (garden/water) to your space?
- Are we bringing in large water features -- pools, Jacuzzis, fountains?
- What about sports courts -- basketball, pickleball, bocce ball?
- Where will shade improve your outdoor living?
- Are there existing elements that can be updated or repurposed?
- What are you hoping to spend on this transformation?
- In a dream world, when will you be living in your new outdoor space?
Step 3. The 3D Landscape Design
- The collaborative design process takes a few weeks.
- The cost of the landscape design will depend on your project. Here's a good resource for landscape costs in Danville, Alamo, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Pleasanton, and nearby. Of course, we're happy to walk you through numbers on our intro phone call.
- Cyn will measure and photograph your property to create your 3d landscape design.
- Cyn will meet you at your kitchen table (with laptop + big monitor) to review / adjust the design together.
- Sometimes the design is good to go after the first meeting; sometimes a revision will create a better installation.
- After the design is finalized, Cyn will introduce you to Aaron of Landscape Experts. We'll create a complete scope, recommend materials, and organize costs for the entire landscape installation project.
Step 4. Installation
- Once you greenlight the project, you sign an installation agreement and your landscape project gets calendared.
- Cyn will work with the Landscape Experts team(s) throughout the project to make sure your design is installed beautifully.
- That means you'll have her eye on hardscape, features & assets, softscape, plant and boulder placement, irrigation strategy, and all final details.
- YesPlease.GARDEN supplies all of your California native / drought-tolerant plants.
- Cyn will set up your irrigation system and show you how to use the Rachio app on your phone.
- At the completion of your project, Cyn will join you for a final walkthrough. The words she will listen for are "We love it!"
Step 5. Follow-Up & Check-In
- Cyn will return two weeks after the landscape installation is complete.
- We check on plants, irrigation, lighting, and any other follow-up details.
- In most cases, the plants supplied by YesPlease.GARDEN are guaranteed for 6 months following the installation.
- For other aspects of the project, we partner with licensed installers who warranty their work.
- You are invited to reach out to Cyn or Aaron (owner of LandscapeExpertsInc.com) for questions or concerns about your landscape project -- at any time. We want you to be delighted!
A five-step plan for landscape design & installation that works over and over again.
We are the local landscape designer for Alamo, Danville, Lafayette, Livermore, Pleasant Hill, Pleasanton, and Walnut Creek, (and nearby) California. We have great relationships in the community and are happy to provide references to homeowners who are serious about installing a project.
We seek clients who want a local landscape designer / installation partner — someone who will have boots on the ground throughout the project. If this aligns with your values, please tell us a little bit more about your landscape project… or just give us a call!
