This Pleasant Hill farmhouse is set in the rural-ish part of town. It has a long bit of land facing the road, and it backs to a natural watershed. These homeowners wanted less lawn, but not “no lawn,” so we hashed out the proportions to complement the scale of the house and had fun planting native gardens in the perimeter. We took out all of the old hardscape and created a new footprint for the front entry.
With many delivery trucks running up and down the road, the homeowners wanted to create a privacy screen that would sit behind the ranch-style fence.
